Completing general tasks as assigned by either the Sales Manager or Sales RepKnowledge of all assigned accounts.
Enter loads and confirm notes about the status of shipments.
Set pickup and delivery appointments with warehouses and customers.
Track the status of shipments from inception to delivery and communicate with the appropriate people in the process.
Seek help from a sales representative when you have a doubtDeal with any issues that arise on any shipment.
Find and Fax POD'S (Proof of Delivery) when required.
Enter Carriers.
Get original POD's.
Complete entry into TMS and ready loads for accounting, error free and complete.
Transfer loads to billing statusIdentify any shipment, billing or follow-up issues to Carrier Operations Representative.
Prioritize the daily workload and focus of your accounts including:
load entry, tracking, tracking reports as required.
Monitor report cardsFocus on growing the current customer account when you have them on the phone.
Update and maintain customer information in Sales ForceTrack the status of shipments from inception to delivery and communicate with the customer on the status of the shipment.
Deal with any issues that may arise on any shipment.
Complete entry into TMS and ready loads for accounting, error free and complete.
Record and maintain quotes in Sales Force or Freight Optimizer.
Key Account Manager would serve as the primary contact for the customer Qualifications:
Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyKnowledge of logistics and the trucking industry.
Understanding of industry terminologyMicrosoft Office - Computer Skills.
Able to interact effectively via phone, in person, via email or Instant Messenger with internal departments and external contacts.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
