Job
Summary:
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for procedures under the supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor.
Main
Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory testing procedures in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO testing standards.
Calculate and record test results obtained.
Communicate tests results to the Laboratory Director and /or Engineers.
Ensure equipment is calibrated and standardized according to schedule.
Communicate with Laboratory Director in order to maintain an adequate inventory of small equipment, chemicals, and other supplies needed in the laboratory.
Keep current on all safety training and follow safe work practices diligently.
Education and
Experience:
Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent science-orientated education.
Co-op or internship Field Experience in an industrial environment.
Skills:
Knowledge of ASTM / AASHTO Soils, Aggregates, Asphalt Binders and Mixes tests methods and practices they have been trained for.
Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees and the general public.
Frequently need to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms and hands.
Required to sit, stoop, kneel, or couch.
Employee must safely move and/ or lift up to 50 pounds.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
